I saw this on the LJ of someone I don't know at all, and thought it looked interesting.

As in, they sit on the shelf to make you look smart or well-rounded. Bold the ones you've read, underline the ones you read for school, italicise the ones you started but didn't finish."

There are a lot of books there that I'd like to read, so I'm posting it as much for the purpose of keeping a reading list for myself as because I think it's an interesting LJ meme. In addition to the official formatting I'm adding asterisks to the ones I intend to read.
