This is a really thought-provoking and sad piece about a culture who don't play, and strongly discourage their children from playing. Play is natural and therefore bad. So is sex (they just do it enough to keep the population going). They don't have any religion or traditions or festivals. Their conversation is just about the practicalities of working life. (One of the commenters suggests this picture might be exaggerated, but I think it's still instructive even if so.) Tags: play, society
